Anglian Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply and billing of non half hourly metered electricity worth an estimated £10.63 million.
The supply area covers the entire Anglian Water region - from Essex over to Milton Keynes and up to the Humber.
Estimated total quantity of electricity required is a total volume of circa 76 GWh to be supplied on a flexible purchasing basis.
Anglian Water has 7100 non half hourly sites all of which are ‘quarterly’ metered and approximately 4 600 have automatic meter reading capability.
The water company is looking to award a contract to one supplier for an initial 5 year term with further extension options.
